The acclaimed work We Solo Men by Ann Van den Broek, originally created in 2009, now returns in a new staging, performed by BODHI PROJECT as part of the SOMMERSZENE festival. We Solo Men is about the conflict between the urge to entertain on the one hand, and the inability to communicate on the other. The cry for attention turns into a scream of despair. We Solo Men is an entertaining and, ultimately, a lonely sketch. Ann Van den Broek has created a rhythmic composition consisting of sounds, words, movement and body language, aimed at making contact with the audience.

As a choreographer, Ann Van den Broek has developed a highly distinctive artistic style. She draws her inspiration from patterns in human behaviour, emotional states and impressions arising from her encounters with the various environments she inhabits.

BODHI PROJECT is an internationally touring company. Under the leadership of artistic visionary Susan Quinn, founder and artistic director of SEAD, the company presents a diverse repertoire across Europe and beyond.
