Memory Loss Fragments (2020)

Memory Loss Fragments

In the original production of Memory Loss, the last in The Memory Collection trilogy, there are fifteen performers on stage. Their roles alternate between playing a patient with Alzheimer’s, a volunteer caregiver and a researcher. This production is nominated for the most impressive dance production of the 2019/2020 season.

In a new ‘corona-proof’ version, Memory Loss Fragments, eight performers emphasize the alienating experience of memory loss even more because of the fragmented structure. Although the production follows the original course of the piece, parts of it have become memories which can only be seen on a large screen. In the set the performers and the musician interact with real-time shots and memories on screen. A puzzle which is as intriguing as it is alienating.
